Athirat: Journal of Ancient Arabia

Athirat: Journal of Ancient Arabia is a double-anonymous peer-reviewed journal published by the Hassan bin Mohammed Center for Historical Studies in collaboration with Brill. The Journal specializes in Ancient Arabia Studies in all its subdisciplines, to reflect comprehensively the research developments in the files (in terms of theories, methodologies, approaches, and findings). The Journal welcomes a wide range of historical, archaeological, linguistic, textual, philological, social, cultural, economic and intellectual approaches. The journal pays special attention to research on rock art and epigraphic discoveries in the Arabian Peninsula. The Journal also encourages opening new lines of research for Ancient Arabia Studies by bringing together all branches of scholarship through interdisciplinary studies. Chronologically it covers the period until early Islam in a geographical area that encompasses the entire Arabian peninsula including its immediate surroundings.
